Mirela Baba

Pianist & Composer

Forgotten Dreams Recording Session

Spanish National Symphony Orchestra RTVE at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, conducted by Mr. Miguel Guerra.

Mirela Baba is a classically trained pianist and composer. As a scholarship holder from the Swedish government, she continued her piano studies in the classical department at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she obtained a Master’s degree in piano and music education. She had the privilege to work with some of the most renowned and prestigious pianists in Sweden, including Andres Kilstrom, Staffan Scheja, Stefan Bojsten, Mats Widlund, Greta Eriksson and others.

A few years later, Mirela discovered her passion for composing music, which has become her primary professional activity since then. Despite her entire classical musical education, her compositions often reflect a combination of different musical traditions.

She was among the 5 selected composers to take part at the Masterclass Orchestration with prof. Benjamin Köthe at the Film Music days in Saxony-Anhalt in Germany where her piece was recorded in a session with the Staatskapelle Halle Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by prof. Bernd Ruf.

She had a great opportunity to work with Christopher Young, Anthony Pete, Patrick Kirst and Garry Schyman.

She is continually amazed by the incredible power of music and its crucial role in creating diverse ambiances.
